Man who shot TV ordered into counseling

A Canadian man who shot his television with a handgun was placed on probation and ordered to undergo psychological counseling in Prince Edward Island.
Todd Jollimore, 43, pleaded guilty Thursday to careless use of a firearm and growing marijuana, the Summerside Journal-Pioneer reported.
Neighbors called police about a gunshot July 29. Officers found a shot-out television in Jollimore's home and a .45-caliber handgun, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 12 marijuana plants in the house. Jollimore has since been given legal permission to use marijuana for an undisclosed medical condition, but was also convicted of the drug charge and improperly storing ammunition, the CBC said.
The court heard Jollimore was upset the day he shot his TV after visiting his uncle's home and finding the man dead.
Judge Jeff Lantz fined Jollimore $1,000, placed him on 18 months probation and ordered him to undergo psychological counseling, the report said.
