Rostislav Klesla scored the winning goal Saturday to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.
Columbus announced earlier Saturday it had signed veteran defenseman Klesla to a four-year extension that will keep him with the team through the 2013-14 season.
R.J. Umberger had a shorthanded goal and Steve Mason stopped 32-of-33 shots for Columbus, which is coming off its first postseason appearance in franchise history.
Andrew Brunette had the lone goal, while Niklas Backstrom gave up two goals on 39 shots for Minnesota, which missed the playoffs last season for the first time in three years.
