KEARNS, Utah - A horse head and a bag of a horse's internal organs were found in a city park Friday.
Salt Lake County Animal Services officials say they think the animal was killed legitimately, but that the head and organs were left in the park for shock value. An animal cruelty investigation was not expected.
"It was probably just somebody's sick sense of humor to take the horse's head and leave it in a place that would disturb and shock people," said Temma Martin, spokeswoman for Salt Lake County Animal Services.
