KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A Malaysian woman was sentenced to one day in jail and fined for biting a police officer. Chai Yuh Chen, 27, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to a charge of using criminal force against Cpl. Hamidun Mohamed Zin in April, a crime which carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
Hamidun was breaking up a fight between two men in a Kuala Lumpur suburb and was about to arrest them when Chai leaped on him, biting his arm, reported the national news agency, Bernama.
