November 3, 2006
NEWARK, N.J. – An urban cowboy appeared to get the upper hand on a bull found roaming the streets of New Jersey’s largest city early Friday.
Police managed to corral the animal in a parking lot about a mile from Newark Liberty International Airport, but the bull wasn’t ready to give up. It climb over an air conditioning unit as an officer with a rope tried to lasso it.
It wasn’t clear who owned the bull or how it got loose in the neighborhood, about eight miles from New York City.
