Stallone Detained at Airport Customs
SYLVESTER Stallone was detained by airport officials after prohibited imports were found in luggage belonging to him and his entourage.
The actor, in Australia to promote his film Rocky Balboa, was delayed for several hours after the items were found during a routine screening at Sydney airport on Friday.
‘As a result of having their luggage X-rayed, a number of prohibited items were seized by customs,’ said Richard Janeczko, of the Australian Customs Service. ‘Mr Stallone was allowed to proceed with his party and our investigations are continuing.’ Officials did not say what the items were or in whose luggage they were found.
Stallone emerged from the airport hours after his fellow passengers. He later dismissed the delay as a ‘misunderstanding’.
