Speculation Rises About McCain's VP

Speculation about Sen. John McCain's running mate in his presidential bid grew as the Arizona Republican planned to meet with one prospect and praised another.
During a campaign stop in Rochester, N.H., the likely GOP presidential nominee said former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has been a tremendous help to my campaign when asked whether the two primary rivals have mended fences, the Boston Globe reported Wednesday.
The Republican Party is united and the entire Romney family has been wonderful, said McCain who engaged in a bitter primary battle with Romney and others as he sought the party's presidential nod.
McCain is scheduled to meet with another possible vice presidential prospect, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who along with Romney, spent a weekend in May at McCain's ranch in Arizona.
McCain fended off questions about whether he'd announce a running mate while likely Democratic challenger Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois was out of the country.
We have the same answer we always have, McCain told reporters. We'll let you know when we have an announcement.
