House OKs Patriot Act Exension After 9-Hour Debate How House Members From Louisiana Voted

The House voted 257-171 Thursday to extend the USA Patriot Act. A "yes" vote is a vote to pass the bill. Voting yes were 43 Democrats and 214 Republicans. Voting no were 156 Democrats, 14 Republicans and 1 independent. There is one vacancy in the 435-member House.
