U.S. names envoy on human rights in North Korea

CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President George W. Bush on Friday named a former White House adviser to become U.S. special envoy on human rights in North Korea.
Jay Lefkowitz, who has previously served as a domestic policy aide to Bush, has also been a member of the U.S. delegation to the U.N. Human Rights Commission.
The White House said his job will be to raise awareness of human rights issues in North Korea.
