WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 /U.S. Newswire/ -- VelvetRevolution.us, a network of over 120 progressive organizations, today launched its controversial 'Dog Tags' ad on the The Brad Radio Show which is the only radio station broadcasting live everyday from Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas.
The ad, with 'Taps' playing underneath, asks why the children of the Chicken Hawks stay home and get richer while ordinary sons and daughters die in Iraq. Hear both versions of the ad at http:// www.velvetrevolution.us.
Listen in at http://www.bradshow.com as radio host VR co- founder Brad Friedman examines the reasons behind the Iraqi invasion and Bush policies that have led to the deaths of nearly 1900 American soldiers. Brad is interviewing families of soldiers killed in Iraq, veterans, lawmakers, celebrities, newsmakers and peacemakers from Camp Casey and around the nation. His first interview was with singer/activist Joan Baez, and he got an exclusive airing of her Camp Casey concert earlier this week. Listen for continued debate on the most important national and international issues we face today LIVE on The BRAD SHOW via RAW Radio!
"I was actually on vacation, camping in the Great Basin National park with no phone and no net," Friedman said. "But I got a scratchy signal of Rush Limbaugh on my radio lying about Cindy Sheehan and what's going on down here. I knew I had to get down here and try to correct the record and tell the real story."
"I drove across the country and figured out how to get on the air with no remote truck, no satellite uplink, no phone lines, no nothing. But we did it and we are going all day and evening. This is a historic event and we're not leaving until it's over in Crawford."
"Note to George W. Bush: Some things are worth interrupting your vacation for," adds Friedman.
