Mar. 10–CUCAMONGA — Greg Whitehead has been named store manager of the Wal-Mart store in Rancho Cucamonga. Whitehead has 19 years of retail experience and began his duties as store manager on Jan. 20.

Whitehead began his Wal-Mart career in 1993, as a department manager in Riverside. He was promoted to assistant manager in Lake Elsinore, a position he also held in Laguna Niguel, Cerritos and Orange.

In 1999, he was promoted to co-manager in Laguna Niguel. In 2000, he was promoted to store manager in Laguna Niguel and Santa Ana, his most recent assignment. Whitehead had six years of prior retail experience with a national discount retailer.

“It takes a lot of talent and hard work to run a store and serve our customers,” said Wal-Mart Market Manager Larry Ezell. “Greg has demonstrated his capabilities to do just that at many of our other locations. We’re pleased to have him bring that experience to Rancho Cucamonga.”
