Bush names new domestic policy aide

May 24, 2006

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President George W. Bush hired think
tank scholar Karl Zinsmeister as his new top domestic policy
adviser, the latest in a series of changes to the White House
staff.

Zinsmeister, whose new role was announced by the White
House on Tuesday, is a fellow at the conservative American
Enterprise Institute and is editor-in-chief of the American
Enterprise magazine.

He replaces Claude Allen, who stepped down in February and
was later arrested on felony theft charges.
