Bush sends senior diplomat to Libya in thaw
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Bush has dispatched to
Libya the highest-ranking diplomat to visit the North African
nation since Tripoli gave up key arms programs in 2003.
Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs
Paula Dobriansky will lead a delegation of senior U.S.
officials on a four-day trip to the OPEC member that starts on
Monday, the State Department said in a statement.
