PROVIDENCE – A fire that probably originated from an electrical problem resulted in moderate damage to the top floor apartment ent at 161 Dora St. in Silver Lake yesterday morning, according to Assistant Fire Chief Michael J. Dillon.

Two adults and two children were displaced by the fire – they got out of the apartment on their own – and the Rhode Island chapter of the American Red Cross arranged temporary shelter for them.

Firefighters were dispatched at 6:42 a.m. and had the blaze under control in one-half hour, Dillon reported. One firefighter suffered a minor back injury.

He said the fire was confined to a wall of the three-story wood- frame building and there was moderate fire, smoke and water damage to the apartment and its contents.

The other two apartments remain habitable, according to Dillon.
