19 Games Will Launch Along With Kinect
Microsoft said on Tuesday that there will be 19 games available when it launches its motion-controller system XBox Kinect next month.
The hands-free controller system will finally hit store shelves on November 4.
Microsoft hopes the line up of sports, fitness, adventure and racing games will persuade enough people that it is worth $199.
The company hopes Kinect will grow Xbox into the family orientated side of gaming.
The Nintendo Wii dominates the family friendly gaming market.
Microsoft’s Chris Lewis told BBC News: “The line-up of games delivers an astonishing range of experiences and entertainment which can be enjoyed by everyone.”
Most of the Kinect games will be ready on the launch day, although two will be delayed until the following week.
Microsoft is facing competition from Sony PlayStation’s motion-controller system Move.
Sony released Move in September, while Nintendo plans to launch its 3DS handheld console next spring.
Some of the titles that will be available alongside with Kinect are: Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -part 1 The Videogame.
