With only a taunting spherical icon to satisfy any curiosity, the June issue of Game Informer will announce the next step for the wildly popular and successful Elder Scrolls franchise: The famous RPG will be going online, creating a Massive Multiplayer Online game (or MMO).
A Queen’s University researcher has taken inspiration from Star Trek to create an other-worldly way to meet with one another. Using a series of strategically placed projectors and Microsoft Kinect image sensors, Dr. Roel Vertegaal and his team at the Human Media Lab in Canada have created a human-scale 3D videoconferencing pod.
- A large punch-bowl of the eighteenth century, usually of silver and with a movable rim, and decorated with flutings and a scalloped edge. It was also used for cooling and carrying wine-glasses.
- A kind of cotton handkerchief having white spots on a colored ground, the spots being produced by a chemical which discharges the color.
