Crop protection companies attending Fruit Focus showed their commitment to developing alternatives to chemicals lost under a recent EU review, with both Certis and Plant Solutions showing off two new broad-spectrum pyrethrin products. Visitors to the Certis stand were told how new Spruzit can be integrated into both organic and conventional organicpest-management systems to tackle a wide range of both sucking and biting pests including mealy bug, caterpillars, aphids, spider mite and appleblossom weevil. It is not harmful to bees when used in accordance with the label.

Pyrethrum 5EC from Plant Solutions is made from a blend of natural ingredients including pyrethrum, synergised with piperonyl butoxcide oil, again attacking a wide spectrum of pests.
