RIVER DANE

Prospects are excellent and there have been a number of reports showing good sport with chub, dace, roach and barbel to 8lb.

RIVER RIBBLE

Balderstones, Ribchesterand the Clitheroe waters have all been producing quality chub, roach and large barbel.

RIVER DEE

Barbel continue to be caught at Almere Ferry and Rossett, dace and roach feature in good catches around barbel and on the lower river, roach and providing good sport at Sandy Lane.

RIVER WEAVER

Small roach, skimmer bream and rudd, are plentiful for those prepared to work hard on pole tackle with squatts and maggot. Hemp is the top bait for big roach at Winsford.

BRIDGEWATER CANAL

Fair fishing, especially on the Run-corn waters where anglers are getting roach and skimmer bream on pole-fished punch and caster.

LEEDS-LIVERPOOL CANAL

Hemp, caster and punch bread, are the best all-round baits but worm is catching plenty of perch and eels from the boat channel.

SANKEY-ST HELENS CANAL

The Upper Pound is on form with plenty of roach and Ide coming to maggot or caster on pole or float rod.

Pleasure anglers are doing well and matches with pole-fished pellet and paste are getting carp catches to 90lb on the Canal.

Chopped worm and caster is producing a bite-a-cast on Willow Pool, Pine and East lodges and catching ide, barbel, skimmers, chub and carp.
