12ACC and CiAsia 2007 Held

THE 12th Asian Chemical Congress (12ACC) and Chemicals and Instrumentation Asia 2007 Exhibition (CiAsia 2007) opened at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) recently, and showcased the most advanced processes in chemical engineering and environmental technology.

It is a biennial flagship meeting of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS).

It saw the convergence of over 1,800 scientists from over 50 countries, while 150 exhibitors from 21 countries took the floor at CiAsia 2007.

Themed `Chemistry for Development, Environment and Sustainability in Asia’ – and launched by the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Datuk Sri Dr Jamaludin Mohd Jarjis – 12ACC provided a platform for scientists to discuss the latest news on chemistry for knowledge creation, economic development, and environmental management and sustainability.
