Brouse McDowell Adds Specialized Environmental Practice Group Attorney

CLEVELAND, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Brouse McDowell, a premiere regional business law firm with offices in Cleveland and Akron, announced the addition of Sonia C. Vallorz as Of Counsel in the firm's Environmental Practice Group. Sonia's practice will focus in the area of environmental law, with an emphasis on environmental claims management and real estate transactions.

Before joining Brouse, Sonia worked as in-house environmental and real estate counsel for a global energy company for 13 years, supporting the company's environmental management groups and its U.S. refining and petroleum marketing business units.

A large portion of Sonia's practice includes addressing environmental liability and real estate matters relating to underground storage tank operations throughout the U.S., with a focus on developing long-term solutions to life-cycle cleanups. She has extensive experience negotiating cleanup, indemnity and settlement agreements, as well as working with environmental consultants on site assessments and investigations of site operations.

Sonia began practicing law as a litigation associate in a major Akron law firm in 1984 and received her J.D. from the Notre Dame Law School. She is a member of the Cleveland, Ohio State and American Bar Associations.
