Night of Wonders RideOut Elementary Students, Parents and Teachers Discover Workings of Science Together

All sorts of science principles – from chemical reactions to matter – were in play at RideOut Elementary’s annual Science Literacy Night.
Parents and students experienced hands-on science to help understand that science and literacy are connected and can be found everywhere. Teachers and volunteers joined together to work with students on a variety of science activities.
The activities involved chemical reactions, camouflage, moon phases, magnetic energy, force and motion, flight, sound, states of matter and many other topics.
About 260 people attended the Sept. 25 event.
