Environment Protection Priority to Egypt

“The Egyptian leadership is interested in developing environment protection programmes to realize sustainable development,” said Minister of Environment Maged George during the opening session of the 10th international conference that kicked off in Alexandria under the theme of crisis management in Arab and Euro-Med countries. George said Egypt is one of the world pioneering states in implementing such environmental programmes. George noted that his ministry was cooperating and coordinating with the National Authority for Remote Sensing of dimension and space science and the Meteorological Authority. The plan will be implemented in tandem with the ministries and the governorates concerned, he said.
