Mobile Medical Disaster Relief Supports Earthquake Stricken Orphans in Haiti

November 1, 2011

Mobile Medical Disaster Relief, http://www.mmdr.org, provides medicines and funding for orphans who were devastated by the January 2010 earthquake. To better enable others to help support these children, they have begun a “Support an Orphan” campaign.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 01, 2011

The orphans in this small suburb of Port au Prince, Haiti are completely cut off from western civilization. Without clean running water, sewer or electricity, these 50 children barely enjoy a subsistence living. These children are the random victims of the earthquake in Haiti eighteen months ago. Barely two hours from the coast of Florida, these children have none of the luxuries even the poorest of the poor enjoy in the U.S.

Mobile Medical Disaster Relief has been working in this area of Haiti since the earthquake providing free medical care, clean water systems and funding for the orphans’ food, education and clothing. In order to better provide for the orphans’ care, Mobile Medical Disaster Relief has begun a “Sponsor an Orphan” program to provide the opportunity for others to get involved in the care of these disenfranchised children.
