Fort Lauderdale, Fl (PRWEB) March 17, 2012

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation, an online scholarship quiz provider, has launched a high school level “Think Green – Marine Biology Scholarship” based on interesting ocean facts and conservation information found at the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.

The marine biology scholarship is free and will be available from March 17-31 at http://www.cksf.org. Any high school student in the United States interested in studying marine biology or environmental studies is eligible to participate.

There are no essays, forms, or applications. All Common Knowledge Scholarship winners are determined by a combination of time and accuracy while taking the online quizzes. The Think Green — Marine Biology Scholarship has 15 questions and will take students less than five minutes to complete. The top scorer will receive a $250 scholarship that can be used at the college of choice and other top scorers will receive a Guy Harvey Research Institute t-shirt provided by Nova Southeastern University.

“It is a fun and educational process for high school students,” said Daryl Hulce the scholarship founder. “We provide all the information up front so any student that spends even a few minutes reviewing has a real chance to win the scholarship money.”

According to high school student Jawaad Khan, “winning a CKSF scholarship is like having a job that pays $500 an hour; I would have to work for over 25 hours at my job to make that much money.”

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is a not for profit organization developed and administered at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. An innovator in online scholarship and educational programs, CKSF has awarded in excess of $300,000 to over 700 students since 2001.

The Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation http://www.guyharveyoceanfoundation.org promotes innovation education programs and best management practices for sustainable marine environments. The Guy Harvey Research Institute is part of the Nova Southeastern University Oceanography Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
