Pulmonary & Sleep of Tampa Bay to Open Fourth Location in Wesley Chapel

Tampa, FL , May 31, 2012 — Pulmonary & Sleep of Tampa Bay is opening its fourth office in the Bay area to accommodate its growing base of patients. The new office is scheduled to open June 1, 2012 and will be located in Wesley Chapel. The other three locations are Brandon, Plant City and Tampa.

A leading regional medical group, Pulmonary & Sleep of Tampa Bay is the only non-hospital medical facility to earn the Joint Commission National Quality Seal of Approval for its compliance with rigorous national performance standards that promote safe and quality health care.

The group specializes in evaluating, diagnosing and treating pulmonary disorders like asthma, COPD, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. For patients with poor lung function or potential lung disease, Pulmonary & Sleep of Tampa Bay is the first in the area to offer a hi-tech detection and diagnostic electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy procedure. The state-of-the-art technology is minimally invasive and can be used for earlier detection of benign or malignant lesions.

For patients with sleeping disorders, the Wesley Chapel location will house four sleep labs in which sleep studies will be performed. The labs feature one-stop consultation in the diagnosis, treatment and management of sleep disorders such as Excessive Sleepiness, Insomnia and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

According to Dr. Dragos Zanchi, one of three board-certified physicians in the group, “We are thrilled to offer our services to people who suffer from respiratory or sleep disorders in the Wesley Chapel area. Pulmonary conditions are prevalent in the Bay area due to smoking addiction and exposure to radon residues from phosphate production. And sleep disorders affect at least 40 million Americans. We are committed to helping these people either by curing or minimizing their conditions.” There are two additional board-certified physicians in the group: Dr. Rafael Martinez and Dr. Martin Britos-Bray.

The new office will be located at 2329 Crestover Lane, Bldg. 3, Suites 101 & 202, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544. Phone: 813-654-8100. Hours will be 8:00 AM — 5:00 PM, Monday — Friday.
