UCLA IMPACT 2012 Contest for HIV/AIDS Prevention Extended
The UCLA IMPACT 2012 contest has been extended until August 15th, giving creative minds the chance to enter and win before it´s too late.

UCLA IMPACT 2012 was created in order to help create awareness for the Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS). As an organization dedicated to funding global AIDS research, their main goal is to develop strategies for integrating and promoting HIV detection and care. As a partner with CHIPTS, UCLA has put on the IMPACT 2012 contest to try and bring the cause of this great foundation to the forefront of Los Angeles philanthropy and help change the world. The contest asks individuals eighteen and over to submit a work of creativity that in some way expresses the movement to defeat HIV and AIDS, and features major cash prizes.
Potential entrants can visit the UCLA IMPACT 2012 website in order to review the submission guidelines and get more information. The directions for submission are intentionally broad in order to encourage a diverse range of product creativity. Artists, musicians, film directors, scientists are all encouraged to submit projects of worth that represent the struggle against HIV and AIDS. In the end these projects, assembled together, will be a powerful message that the CHIPTS foundation can use to help inspire the great cause they have started. Thanks to the extension of the deadline, more applicants can continue to submit and the collection will grow to be even more impressive.
The Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services is financed by the National Institute of Mental Health. In addition to supporting world class scientists, the organization leverages the support of communities and families all over the world that have been affected by the AIDS pandemic in order to try and thwart the spread of the disease. The center is composed of six cores, all working cohesively to try and create awareness for the disease, and more importantly, to prevent its spread. Hopefully the extension of the IMPACT 2012 contest will help others become aware of the center and its mission to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
