Solar Impulse Team Makes Call To Fly To Toulouse

Deteriorating weather conditions have forced the Solar Impulse team of Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg to fly the HB-SIA aircraft to Toulouse in France rather than chance a straight flight home to Payerne, Switzerland.
The plane, with Piccard at the helm, took off from Madrid, Spain at 5:36 a.m. (local time) this morning (July 17) and should land at Toulouse-Francazal airport around 8:00 p.m. this evening.
Solar Impulse has launched a photo contest open to all those located on the route of the HB-SIA. The best in-flight and landing photos will be selected among all entries. Photos must be uploaded to the Solar Impulse website in order to be selected.
Images and footage of the flight will be posted on the site as soon as possible.
