Portland, Oregon — The Portland Hoops Kings, thanked No More Poverty (nmp.org) and its founding brothers, Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi, for the support extended to their inner city youth basketball program.
“We are very grateful for No More Poverty´s support of our program,” according to Monica Porter speaking on behalf of the Portland Hoops Kings. “Our student/athletes along with PHK volunteer coaches and staff are encouraged that there are people like the Omidi brothers out there, willing to lend a helping hand to young men trying to make their way in the world under difficult circumstances.”
“The success of the Hoop Kings is two-fold: they are competitive on the court while also learning important life-lessons that will help them to flourish as they enter adulthood,” says Julian Omidi, co-founder of No More Poverty. “It´s a tremendous training program for young men and we are delighted to help fund their future victories, both on and off the court.”
