Bayer CropScience Explores One World to Grow On at Farm Progress Show

August 29, 2012

Growers walk through a season´s worth of decisions and success factors, from finish to start

Boone, IA (PRWEB) August 28, 2012

Bayer CropScience will explore “One World to Grow On” at the 2012 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. The company´s exhibit features a novel and holistic approach to help growers identify ways to maximize harvest outcomes next season and for years to come.

“At Bayer CropScience, everything starts with local insight,” says David Hollinrake, vice president of Agricultural Commercial Operations marketing for Bayer CropScience. “We dig deep into the issues farmers face every day like increasing agricultural productivity, protecting resources and ensuring healthy harvests. Exploring these issues provided the key insights for our new exhibit, One World to Grow On.”

Based on a comprehensive industry research project, Bayer CropScience identified four pivotal decision-making times that serve as the foundation for the One World to Grow On platform. These key events are Plan for Success, Establish a Healthy Crop, Maintain the Potential and Successful Harvest.

“We told the story in reverse, starting at the successful harvest–the outcome we´re all striving for,” says Hollinrake. “From there, visitors went back through all the decisions that led to a establishing a healthier crop.”

At each exhibit, which represents a pivotal point in the growing season, Bayer CropScience experts will consults with growers about the decisions that most affect harvest outcomes and offer solutions for improvement.

Growers will leave with many tips for next season and years to come, including how to:

  •     Manage yield-robbing pests with key technology like Poncho®-Votivo®
  •     Excel in business and environmental sustainability with the alternative weed resistance system Liberty Link®
  •     Foster beneficial insects and bee health
  •     Protect precious and limited resources with low use rate products like Corvus®
  •     Boost yields with technology like Stratego®YLD

“With One World to Grow On, we´re passionate about rolling up our sleeves to work alongside growers and develop the understanding needed to cultivate ideas and answers to today´s most pressing agricultural issues,” adds Hollinrake. “Engaging growers in this exhibit is just one of the many ways Bayer CropScience can help growers meet the challenges they face each growing season.”
