OMNIlife science, Inc. Announces Changes to the Board of Directors and Management Team

Richard “Nik” Nikolaev and Thomas Prokop announce their retirement. Dr. Florian Reinaud joins the Board of Directors. Jack Turner and Skip Farinha join the Management Team.

OMNIlife science®, Inc., a subsidiary of Orthopaedic Synergy, Inc. (“OSI”), today announced the following changes to its Board of Directors and Management Team.

Richard “Nik” Nikolaev announced his retirement as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Nikolaev served six tireless and productive years while on OSI´s Board. He was the driving force behind many major milestones, including the Enztec and Praxim acquisitions. His 40 years of prior experience in the orthopaedic industry proved instrumental in the success OSI has enjoyed to date. “Nik´s leadership, vision and unrelenting dedication to improving the lives of patients and surgeons are to be commended and the Board of Directors is thankful for Mr. Nikolaev´s years of service to the organization.” stated Bill Birnie, OSI Board member.

Dr. Florian Reinaud, a former Praxim Board member, recently joined the OSI Board of Directors. Dr. Reinaud is a Partner at Paris, France based Innovation Capital, which was the largest shareholder in Praxim before it was acquired by OSI. He joins the OSI Board with a wide range of financial and medical experience. Past appointments include Chief Financial Officer of Paris-based DBV Technologies, Principal at private equity group Apax Partners, Equity Analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup), and a doctor working in the UK´s National Health Service. “The addition of Florian will further diversify the outstanding talents and wide-ranging experience that our directors already bring to OSI, and I am personally delighted with the support and focus Florian will add to our Praxim navigation and APEX Robotic Technology (A.R.T.) platforms.” stated George Cipolletti, Chief Executive Officer.

Thomas Prokop, Vice President of Sales also announced his retirement. Mr. Prokop has been with OMNI since 2007 and has been a key contributor to the dramatic sales growth the Company has achieved during his tenure. “Tom´s retirement is a bittersweet event for OMNI because he has been such a critical part of our success. While we are sad to see him go due to his outstanding contributions, we are pleased to see him move into the next phase of his life after 5 years of driving our business.” stated George Cipolletti, Chief Executive Officer.

Jack Turner will join the Executive Team as Vice President of Sales. Before joining OMNI, Mr. Turner was the National Director of Sales for Mako Surgical where he identified strategic and tactical opportunities for improvement that resulted in significant revenue increases over a 2-year period. As the Vice President of Sales, Mr. Turner will focus on managing sales operations to meet and exceed expectations, as well as develop and execute effective strategies for the growth of all lines of business. “We are thrilled to announce the addition of Jack to our management team,” said George Cipolletti, Chief Executive Officer. “His leadership and expertise in the sales navigation arena will only strengthen our ability to execute our business strategy of providing surgeons with cutting edge technology.” Mr. Prokop will remain with the company to facilitate the transition through the summer of 2013.

Albert “Skip” Farinha has also joined the Management Team as Vice President of Quality Assurance. Mr. Farinha comes to OMNI with over 25 years of quality and regulatory experience. Mr. Farinha will provide leadership for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of quality systems policies and procedures for OMNI in accordance with domestic and International regulations and ISO requirements. His prior positions include VP of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at OmniGuide, Inc., Vice President of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at Sontra Medical Corporation, and Director of Medical Products at Oar Tool & Die.
