Lee Claassen Joins Coulter as ICA’s Executive Director

Coulter is pleased to announce that Lee Claassen, CAE, has joined the Coulter team as the new executive director of Coulter´s client, the Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA). In her role, Claassen will lead the ICA to advocate for interstitial cystitis (IC) research dedicated to discovery of a cure and better treatments, raise awareness, and ensure ICA serves as a central hub for the healthcare providers, researchers and millions of patients who suffer from the disease.

Coulter is pleased to announce that Lee Claassen, CAE, has joined the Coulter team as the new executive director of Coulter´s client, the Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA). In her role, Claassen will lead the ICA to advocate for interstitial cystitis (IC) research dedicated to discovery of a cure and better treatments, raise awareness, and ensure ICA serves as a central hub for the healthcare providers, researchers and millions of patients who suffer from the disease.

Claassen has held a variety of leadership positions in health and science-based organizations, as well as serving as a member of nonprofit association boards. Most recently, she served as director for the Spinal Research Foundation, a patient advocacy organization. For nine years, as a staff member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, she was involved in health education, industry relations, and an association-run grant program. Claassen has leadership experience overseeing a wide range of nonprofit association responsibilities, including member recruitment and retention, print and electronic media product development and strategic marketing, and fundraising and organizational development.
