Probiotic Action Announces Further Exploration of Probiotics for Acne with New Information from the LA Times
Researchers release new information on using DNA Sequencing to tell apart Good, and Bad Bacteria hiding in the skin. Probiotic Action comments on how this new scientific development may change lives for those suffering with Acne.

While many are still blaming dirt, dry skin, and oil alone for acne issues, researchers along with Probiotic Action, known for the best acne treatment are spreading new developments on how using Probiotics for Acne can lessen, or cure an acne condition. The La Times recently reported on the study.
Probiotic Action reports that new research on using probiotics for acne is being done by the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute, UCLA, and Washington University in Saint Louis to better determine which of the P.acnes bacteria in conjunction with dirt and oil are indeed the ones creating acne. Last Thursday, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology released information that leads them to believe that not all P. acnes bacteria are responsible for acne, and that there are several different strands that may be more responsible for breakouts than others. While some P. acnes bacteria is directly related to whiteheads, and uneven skin, researchers are now using DNA testing to find which “bad” bacteria, may lean more towards the “good” side.
Dr. Noah Craft of the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute notes on the varying strains of bacteria, and why we should explore which strains should live; “There are healthy strains that we need on our skin,” states Craft. “The idea that you’d use a nuclear bomb to kill everything – what we’re currently doing with antibiotics and other treatments – just doesn’t make sense.”
Fernando Perez, a spokesman for Probiotic Action explains that the research that is being done, will benefit more than acne suffers. “Probiotics have finally made their way back into homes across the world, and their benefits of maintaining and helping to stabilize body systems is now becoming mainstream. The future for probiotics goes beyond the generic use of using them in yogurt, soon, using a probiotic acne treatment topically will become just as natural as eating yogurt, “ adds Perez.
Probiotic Action adds that the new research may soon reveal a new, and more final cure for acne, while allowing sufferers to further explore the use of Probiotics as the best acne treatment.
