Leo Gingras Joins Nutraceutical Innovations Board of Directors

Executive brings over 30 years´ experience in the global food, feed, nutritional food additive and agricultural industries

Leo G. Gingras, CEO of Oberon FMR, Inc., has recently become a member of the Board of Directors of Nutraceutical Innovations of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Oberon is a company with proprietary technology producing a cost-effective, sustainably produced protein meal.

With over thirty years of experience in the food, feed, nutritional food additive and agricultural industries, Mr. Gingras has developed and expanded commodity businesses both domestically and internationally. He was previously President and COO of NutraCea (now RiceBran Technologies), an Arizona based producer and marketer of products derived from rice bran. While there, Mr. Gingras was responsible for sustaining and growing the business through organic growth and acquisition. He established partnerships and joint ventures with companies in Asia, South America and Europe, extending the company´s reach both domestically and around the globe.

Prior to NutraCea, Mr. Gingras worked 18 years with Riceland Foods. Riceland is a U.S. based company and the world´s largest rice miller and a major processor of soybean and edible oil products, marketing a large array of ingredients to the global food industry. For the last seven years, Gingras was a Senior Vice President and directly responsible for operations making up 40% of company revenue. In addition, he was responsible for corporate business development and R & D activities.

Mr. Gingras began his career in food processing with Lou Ana Foods, a producer and marketer of edible oils and a division of Ventura Foods, where he worked in the processing, quality assurance and research departments. He holds an M.S. in Biology and an M.B.A. from the University of Louisiana, and a B.S. in Chemistry/Biology from Saint Anselm College.
