Sofia University President Neal King to Receive Honorary Doctorate from Caucasus University
President King will be recognized for his contributions in strengthening international relations in science and education

Sofia University (formerly Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) President Neal King, PhD, has been nominated for “Honorary Doctor of Caucasus University” (Doctor Honoris Causa) on behalf of the Academic Council and the Board of Caucasus University.
The honorary doctorate is given in recognition of President King´s efforts to strengthen international relations in science and education, as well as distinguished public service to the nation of Georgia and Caucasus University.
King commented, “I am deeply honored to be receiving an honorary doctorate from Caucasus University, and remain committed to continued participation in global conversations that are so important in higher education worldwide.”
King also currently serves as President for the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP). Founded in 1964, IAUP is an association of university chief executives from higher education institutions around the world. Membership is limited to those individuals who serve as presidents, rectors or chancellors at regionally accredited colleges or universities.
President King will visit Caucasus University to personally receive his honorary doctorateat the school´s annual graduation ceremony at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tblisi, Georgia, on October 14, 2013.
