Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has signed a Sourcing and Procurement Services agreement with the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture. The agreement will include Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services including Category Management, Transactional Procurement Operations (TPO), Accounts Payable — Invoice Processing, and the implementation of the Ariba eProcurement toolset.
Accenture services will be delivered by its Global Delivery Network from locations in the United States, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Romania. Specifically, Category Management services will be delivered from the United States and the Czech Republic; TPO services from the Accenture delivery center in Slovakia; and, Accounts Payable—Invoice Processing services from Romania. The Ariba eProcurement toolset, previously purchased by Westinghouse, will be implemented and leveraged by Accenture to provide these services.
“Accenture offers process expertise and efficiencies as well as providing Westinghouse greater flexibility in resource sharing and allocation,” said Danny Roderick, president and CEO, Westinghouse Electric Company. “Rather than the current fragmentation of functions and resources that we have now, this agreement will allow for an end-to-end process solution and enable global standardization of processes and tools throughout Westinghouse.”
“Signing this contract is a major achievement for our Accenture Sourcing and Procurement Services team across the globe,” said Paul Van Beveren, managing director of Accenture BPO service delivery for Central and Eastern Europe. “Accenture´s Prague Delivery Center played a pivotal role in convincing Westinghouse that Accenture is the right partner in providing rapid sourcing expertise and support for Westinghouse Source to Pay Processes.”
