Public Voting Opens for Finalists in Synthetic Turf International’s Better Play & Recreation Contest

Voting will determine which of the ten national contest finalists, representing non-profits that help kids, pets, military veterans and the community overall, wins a $50,000 synthetic turf installation.

Synthetic Turf International has announced the ten national finalists for its Better Play & Recreation Contest, who collectively have helped improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of youth, people with disabilities, active troops and military veterans, and dogs in need of rescue. The general public is encouraged to vote online now at http://bit.ly/13hytvS to help their favorite non-profit organization win the $50,000 synthetic turf installation prize.

“We received a tremendous amount of excellent entries from charitable organizations,” said Dakota Harp, General Manager of Synthetic Turf International. “Selected for their extraordinary impact and mission, it is our privilege to highlight the accomplishments of each of the finalists. We look forward to seeing this prize enhance the winner of the public vote´s ability to help the populations they serve.”

Synthetic Turf International (STI) launched its Better Play & Recreation Contest to recognize non-profit groups that work tirelessly to make a positive difference in their communities. Public voting opens at 9:00am EST on May 21, 2013 and ends at 5:00pm EST on June 21, 2013. Individuals can cast one vote per day per IP address and Facebook page, and return daily during the 30 day period to vote. The winner of the $50,000 synthetic turf grand prize will be determined by the largest number of votes received.
