Aquamira Technologies, Inc. Provides Clean Water In The Aftermath of Large Earthquake In China

May 24, 2013

Aquamira’s emergency water supply system helps residents of hardest hit villages recover in the wake of the 7.0 quake in Lushan, Sichuan Province, China.

Logan, UT (PRWEB) May 24, 2013

On April 22, an earthquake measuring 7.0 hit Lushan, Sichuan Province, China, killing 192 people and leaving more than 12,200 injured. Aquamira, in implementing its emergency water supply systems, provided Chinese citizens with pure drinking water using the DIVVY 250 Emergency Water System.

The earthquake destroyed many villages, making it nearly impossible to obtain clean water, food, and integral medical supplies. Aquamira sent in its life-saving DIVVY water system within days of the earthquake, allowing residents access to drinkable water where there otherwise would have been none.

The DIVVY 250 emergency water supply allowed for local villagers to obtain purified water by pumping ground water through a purification and filtration system that is entirely human powered. The DIVVY 250 emergency water supply is able to convert up to 2,500 gallons of water per day without the need for fuel or other power, meeting the hydration needs of nearly 1,000 people per day per system! Since the earthquake, purified and filtered water has been supplied to those villages most affected by the earthquake, with the DIVVY system serving as the perfect emergency water supply system in even the most trying scenarios.

Noah Lemas, Aquamira´s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, touched on the vital importance of clean water in an emergency and the satisfaction of providing a much needed project: “It´s tremendously humbling and rewarding to know that we are helping to save lives in the wake of the tragic earthquake in Sichuan. After air, water is our most critical need, and that need is magnified in times of emergency or disaster. To be able to provide a solution, and to see that solution on the ground saving lives, is tremendously impactful. Our hearts go out to the affected villages and residents of Sichuan and we are proud to be part of their recovery.”

The DIVVY 250 emergency water supply is a product of Aquamira Technologies, Inc., which is located in Logan, Utah and supplies lifesaving emergency water systems and products to the worldwide market. Since 1999, Aquamira has been supplying water filtration and purification products to the outdoor, survivalist, military, and emergency management communities.
