“Real Time Monitoring and Characterizing of Lithium-Ion Batteries Aging”

Brief description (mini-abstract): We propose to use a recently developed electrochemistry-based electrical model for Lithium-ion battery cell for the study of its aging as the model is capable to take into account the various aging causes. This is also an in-situ time-domain characterization method that enables us to monitor the information about the different aging mechanisms online through its discharge curve alone. Through this information, better BMS can be designed to ensure a less degradation path for the battery pack so that the life of the battery pack can be extended.
