New Treatment Methods at Alcohol Treatment San Antonio Helps Addicts with Successful Recovery
Alcohol Treatment San Antonio has new treatment methods that are far more effective at helping those with addiction.
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) August 31, 2013
Alcohol Treatment San Antonio recently announced a new approach to addiction recovery that is far more successful at preventing relapse than traditional treatment methods.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, alcohol abuse has increased in San Antonio and throughout the state. What separates Alcohol Treatment San Antonio from other city rehab centers is its commitment to the innovative technique of Dual Diagnosis, which focuses on mental health to help combat addiction.
In just eight months, Alcohol Treatment San Antonio has admitted 250 patients. The facility has already received positive feedback from patients and state health authorities. Many credit Alcohol Treatment San Antonio Director Deborah Radcliffe for quickly establishing the facility’s credibility.
“Dual Diagnosis has proven to be one of the most effective methods for treating alcoholism,” Radcliffe said. “It’s a method I brought with me from Alcohol Treatment Orlando in Florida and we’re already seeing positive results.”
Since its opening, 25 patients have successfully completed the program. Although it’s a relatively new facility, all ten of Alcohol Treatment San Antonio’s counselors have more than a decade of experience in treating patients.
Another unique feature of Alcohol Treatment San Antonio is its flexible and convenient schedule to accommodate patients who have a busy lifestyle. The facility is open primarily during the evening hours.
“We understand that many of our patients have a busy work schedule and can’t come in during the day,” Radcliffe said. “We offer group sessions that start after 6 p.m.”
In addition to Dual Diagnosis, there are several activities designed to help patients. They include: family groups, individual counseling, educational classes, twelve step counseling, family groups, and relapse prevention.
The center has more ambitious plans for the future. According to Radcliffe, there are already proposals to expand Alcohol Treatment San Antonio’s curriculum to also help former patients deal with life after rehabilitation.
“A lot of rehab centers only focus on simply treating addiction,” Radcliff said. “We want our patients to fully grasp the lifestyle of sobriety. Going back to normal everyday life can be overwhelming. We’d like our patients to know that once they walk out the door, a whole new world is waiting for them. If they ever need further assistance, they can always feel comfortable to come to us for help."
