Coconut Oil and Orange Juice Can Prevent Obesity Announces Researcher

Sharon Kleyne Announces Discovery During Radio Interview with Hormone and Physiology Researcher Ray Peat, PhD.

Grants Pass, OR (PRWEB) September 18, 2013

Coconut oil and orange juice are two of the best foods to help maintain the body’s Ph and water balance, and prevent dehydration and obesity, according to Physiology Researcher Ray Peat. The announcement was made by Dr. Peat during a recent interview on the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show.

Ray Peat, PhD, is a Biologist and Physiologist who has conducted extensive studies of progesterone and related hormones and their effect on the body’s retention and processing of water. The human body is 60 to 70 percent water. Dr. Peat was interviewed on the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show on September 9, 2013.

Sharon Kleyne is Founder of Bio Logic Aqua Research, a water and health research and product development center. Natures Tears® EyeMist® is the company’s global signature product for dry eye and dry facial skin. As part of an ongoing commitment to educating the public about water and health, Kleyne hosts the globally. syndicated Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water® radio show on VoiceAmerica and Apple iTunes.

According to Dr. Peat, human cells not only require large amounts of water, they must also have the correct tools to use the water most advantageously. Substances in the body and cells with an alkaline pH (above 7.0) are water retaining while substances with an acidic pH (below 7.0) are water repelling. If the body is too acidic, water is pushed out of the cells, resulting in dehydration, edema, headaches, dry eye and dry skin, slowed metabolism, stress, depression and weight gain.

One regulator of acidity/alkalinity or pH balance, explains Dr. Peat, is hormones, particularly progesterone and testosterone. If levels of these hormones drop, and levels of the hormone estrogen remain elevated for too long, the body will start to become acidic.

The body’s pH balance and water utilization can be controlled by diet, says Dr. Peat. Two of the very best foods for maintaining correct pH and hormone levels, according to Dr. Peat, are coconut oil, a polyunsaturated fat, and orange juice, which contains high levels of calcium and many other minerals. Dr. Peat also recommends milk and cheese because of their high mineral and calcium content and low phosphate content. Phosphate, according to Dr. Peat, promotes obesity while calcium prevents obesity.
