RedShift Systems Hires Richard Sharp as Vice President of Engineering

Acclaimed electro-optic professional joins RedShift to lead the development of Redshift’s expanding line of mid-infrared laser products.

RedShift Systems Corp., a leader in infrared tunable filter technology, announced today that Richard (Rick) Sharp has joined the company in the role of VP of Engineering. Rick will lead the development team at RedShift to evolve and expand its growing line of infrared laser products for industrial, security, medical, imaging, and research applications.

Rick has an extensive background in lasers and electro-optic devices for industrial, telecom, military, and aerospace applications. He has a long history of successfully leading both small and large project teams in the development and delivery of state-of-the-art electro-optical systems. In addition to his strong management skills, Rick brings a wealth of experience in engineering development and production transfer, along with product line maintenance and continuous improvement. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Harvard and a National Science Foundation Fellow, Rick carries an impressive academic pedigree.
