Scientel® Releases Enterprise Content Management and Search (ECMS), The Perfect Tool for Big Data Management
Scientel Enterprise Content Management & Search (ECMS) Under Gensonix® NoSQL DB Simplifies All-Purpose Content Management and Extensive Search for Any Organization
Bingham Farms, MI (PRWEB) October 31, 2013
Data is being generated at a faster rate than imaginable. Corporate as well as individual/user data is doubling every three years to staggering levels. Today, we generate more data in a single day than what we generated between 1946 through 2000; i.e., the beginning of computing to the end of the last century. However, here is the alarming fact: More than 80% of data generated today is Unstructured Data; i.e. "contents" due to the onset of the modern technology era. This data is swamping PCs, from individual levels all the way to large enterprises. While all business data is handled through conventional IT systems, today's general information and much of intelligence flows freely through unstructured, unmanaged contents, and is not tracked or automated.
These unstructured content data arrive at higher velocity, variety, variability and volume than what we can imagine. Information is the new currency. Knowledge makes us competitive and smarter. And the future belongs to the smart. Therefore, today's best competitive strategy requires taking control of content before individuals and organizations get swamped by it.
Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management and Search (ECMS) system operating under GENSONIX® NoSQL DB is an advanced ECMS solution for “Big Data” contents. Scientel’s ECMS is the ideal, most cost-effective, and simple to operate tool for organizing, managing, and retrieving your Big Data contents at all organizational levels. Powerful, yet comprehensive and fun to use, it can start small and is highly scalable. The system can be configured for various system requirements. This makes it ideal for use in small offices/organizations as well as medium and large enterprises.
The ECMS system can store, organize, and access at many levels virtually any kind of digitized data that an organization wants to track cost-effectively. As many people recognize, an ECMS aims to make the management of corporate information easier through simplifying storage, security, version control, process routing, and retention. The benefits to an organization include improved efficiency, better control, and reduced costs for managing all their documents and contents regardless of its type.
The primary feature of Scientel’s ECMS is its ability to drag-and-drop virtually any type of content from PC folders into the drop zone of the ECMS. The system currently recognizes up to about 40 different types of contents including Microsoft office documents, PDFs, text files, graphic image files, music, videos/clips, movies, electronic books, etc. Even very sophisticated information/files such as scientific data, Access DBs, BI Analytical system files etc., can be accommodated.
Once placed in the drop zone, the system archives documents into its DB. The system automatically extracts text from all textual documents and builds a search index. Keyword or fuzzy searches can then be performed on parts of the text/information to retrieve originals. Documents that only need to be viewed can be accessed/viewed directly from the ECMS without downloading. However, the original items can be downloaded at any time to obtain a copy.
An inquiry feature shows a thumbnail representation of the item stored so that users can easily recognize contents. A recycle system also protects accidental removal of content and protects users who are saving/replacing newer versions. Overall enterprise resources can be conserved/cleaned up by deleting original documents from individual PC/system folders.
Thus the ECMS functions as a central organization method and repository for ALL types of enterprise content—unstructured AND structured—from “little” to “Big Data”. Organization and management of data content as well as sharing is simplified and made easy for users to incorporate into their standard practices, while at the same time avoiding duplication and misfiling. The extremely powerful search tool also makes it easy for users to locate content by search keywords as well as long sentence or paragraph searches. Scientel’s powerful analytics capabilities can also be brought to bear as needed to provide new insights into enterprise-wide operations.
The ECMS is configurable on most network systems and is made available for all users starting with a standard PC style access point server. The base system can be configured on a small server comprised of an Intel core I series CPU with a minimum 4GB memory and 1TB storage.
Scientel’s Gensonix NoSQL DB-based ECMS can perform truly comprehensive, Enterprise-wide, accurate, reliable, cost-effective management of ALL digitized data—including Big Data.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" NoSQL DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments. Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" — an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces.
GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Visual Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search (ECMS) solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
