The Spring into Yellowstone event includes programs, presentations, field trips, films, and tours. Find complete information and the full schedule on the event website.
Staff members from the Draper Natural History Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West join the roster of presenters offering guided field trips, interactive programs, and seminars for the festival. The full slate includes regionally-based, world-renowned experts in ornithology, wildlife biology, and nature photography in the Greater Yellowstone region.
“The festival is an outstanding opportunity to learn more about the wildlife and natural history of our area,” says Dr. Charles R. Preston, the Draper’s Senior and Founding Curator. “The wildlife and natural amenities of our area draw more than three million people from around the world each year; it is spectacular and sometimes taken for granted by local residents.”
Preston and Draper Assistant Curator and Greater Yellowstone Raptor Experience Manager Melissa Hill lead several programs during the festival. In addition, a trade show featuring festival vendors also takes place at the Center of the West on Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Pre-registration is required for all festival tours; they are filling quickly, so those interested should register as soon as possible. Learn more about the cost for each, and register by visiting the festival’s website, clicking on “Registration.”
