DWR Announces Proposal Solicitation Package for the Local Groundwater Assistance Grant Program

The Department of Water Resources has released its Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) and scheduled application workshops on the Local Groundwater Assistance Grant Program (AB 303).

Grants are available to conduct groundwater studies, monitoring, or groundwater management activities.

A total of $6.4 million is available and the maximum grant amount is $250,000 per applicant. Applications are due December 11, 2007. More information on the Program, PSP, and the workshops is posted on the following website:

The workshops are to inform interested parties of the requirements for submitting applications and answer questions on the Program. The workshop dates and locations are below. A live web broadcast is available of the November 16 workshop at the website below.

The Department of Water Resources operates and maintains the State Water Project, provides dam safety and flood control and inspection services, assists local water districts in water management and water conservation planning, and plans for future statewide water needs.
