EAST HANOVER, N.J., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- General Chemical Industrial Products Inc. announced it has acquired all of the assets of Kings Mountain Mining, Suzorite Mica Products, and Attapulgite Mining LLC from Zemex Industrial Minerals Inc. These companies, which are leading producers of muscovite mica, phlogopite mica and attapulgite clay, have facilities located in Kings Mountain, NC; Boucherville, Quebec, and Attapulgus, GA. Each of the products is used in a variety of applications including joint compounds, paints, coatings, plastics, fire retardants, oil well drilling muds and sound deadening products.
