November Seminars on Udders

November 8, 2007
Repost This

DAIRYING women across New Zealand will have opportunity to boost their farm’s productivity and profits by learning more about the Farm Food Factory – the cow’s udder. The Network for Women in Dairying is providing the educational opportunity through its series of Dairy Days held nationally this month.

With milk worth more than ever, Network for Women general manager Lynda Clark expects interest will be strong.

She points out women attending Dairy Days will get back to basics on udder physiology.

“The Dairy Days will show women how to optimise their milk quality.”

The seminars will also cover what goes wrong when infections such as mastitis occur, and explore the variety of mainstream, as well as alternative, treatments available for diseases.

Anyone interested can find out more at the website: www.womenindairying.org.nz The three closest seminars for Taranaki people include one at McMeekan Centre, AgResearch Ruakura, Hamilton, on November 20, at Miranda St, Stratford, on November 22, and at Arena Two, Palmerston North, on November 23.
