The NY NanoBusiness Alliance today announced that Director Vincent Caprio will lead a group of top executives, investors and dignitaries on a tour of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY, being held on December 6th as part of the Third Annual Axiom Capital Management “Livingston Nanotechnology Conference.”

The group will focus its attention on the Academy’s Engineering Department, which is researching how nanotechnology can be used for the improvement of energy sources, conversion and propulsion methods, as well as environmental issues related to the Maritime industry.

Also on December 6th, another group of luminaries from the Livingston Nanotechnology Conference will visit UAlbany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), which was recently ranked by Small Times Magazine as the world’s number one college for nanotechnology and microtechnology. More than 1,800 scientists, researchers, engineers, student, faculty and corporations work at CNSE’s Albany NanoTech complex, including IBM, AMD, SONY, Toshiba, Honeywell, Applied Materials and more.

On December 7th, the Livingston Nanotechnology Conference moves to the Marriot Financial Center in New York City, where Mr. Caprio will address blue chip corporations, promising startups and leading investors on nanotech.

“I’m honored to once again be part of the faculty at Scott Livingston’s outstanding nanotechnology conference,” said Mr. Caprio. “Now in its third year, the Livingston Nanotechnology Conference has become a ‘must-attend’ event for those seeking up-to-the-minute investment and business trends in nanotechnology, which truly is the only technology that is ‘green, clean and never seen.’”

The Livingston Nanotechnology Conference is the final stop on Mr. Caprio’s 10 city Fall 2007 tour of speaking engagements focusing on nanotechnology, which has included presentations at:

AlwaysOn GoingGreen at the University of California

Chemical Week Nanotechnology and Nano-Bio Convergence at the Javits Center in NYC
