Forestry Industry `Steady'

THE Southland forestry industry remained steady, concentrating on processed timber, as a Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry report released last week forecast continued growth.
The report, which predicts the future of the forestry production during the coming year, says demand for lumber in key markets will grow, with a gradual increase in prices during the next few years.
