Housing International Conference Recommends New Strategy to Ease Population Concentrations
The International Conference on Population issue organized by the demographical center in Cairo stressed the need to set a new strategy for the redistribution of population at the densely populated cities to get rid of the unjustified population congestion and growing pressures on public utilities. This would help attract people to live in the new communities. The conference which was held under theauspices of Dr. Othman Mohamed Othman economic development Minister and headed by Dr. Abdul Ghani director of the center stressed the need to increase the society awareness of the population growth and the economic situation and standards of living. It called as well for setting up strategies to limit down harms to the environment as a result of population rapid growth which reflects on the health, social and economic situation. The conference raised the slogan of reproduction health for promoting development.
