According to Oman News: The permanent committee for chemical substances today held its 12th meeting which was organized by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs with participation of a number of governmental departments.The meeting discussed a number of topics including the draft decision on lead, the importance of updating the national legislation on chemical substances, the importance of maintaining cooperation among the chemical substances management respective departments and the performance of the Chemical Substances Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs as regarding the number of chemical licenses, registered companies and field visits. The meeting also discussed the electronic linkage between the Chemical Substances Department at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and chemical substances management respective departments in the Sultanate, in addition, to the importance of exchange information on the safe handling of chemical substances and activating the role of the members of the permanent committee for chemical substances.
